Rev. Jeevaraj Anthony

Jeevaraj Anthony is a theologian, educator, researcher, and ecumenical practitioner specializing in Religion, Hindu Religious Traditions, Interfaith Relations, Dalit Religious Traditions, Indian Public Theology, Contextual Theology, Cultural Anthropology, and Eco-Spirituality. He is under process of earning his Doctor of Theology (D.Th.) at Gurukul Lutheran Theological College and Research Institute, Chennai, through the Senate of Serampore College. His doctoral research explores The Sacredness of Tiruvannamalai in Select Saiva Texts and Traditions as a Resource for Eco-Spirituality.

With over ten years of experience in theological education and ecumenical engagement, he currently serves as Professor at Tamilnadu Theological Seminary, Madurai. He has also served as Consultant for Publications at the National Council of Churches in India (NCCI) and as Coordinator of the Ecumenical Dialogue Centre India under the United Evangelical Lutheran Churches in India (UELCI). Earlier, he taught at Gurukul Lutheran Theological College, Calvin Institute of Theology, and the Indian Theological Seminary.

Jeevaraj Anthony has presented papers at national and international conferences across India, Germany, Israel, and the United States. His research and publications focus on Hindu-Christian dialogue, Saiva spirituality, Dalit spirituality, public theology, eco-spirituality, interreligious engagement, and social justice. Alongside his academic work, he collaborates with interfaith and civil society organizations like Vishnu Mohan Foundation, Islamic Foundation Trust and QuoVadis Interfaith Dialogue Centre and is experienced in academic publishing, digital communication, and media production through Don Bosco Institute of Communication and Arts.
