TECCA

With an aim to deepen the theological understanding and faith and to sharpen the christian commitment and to motivate the laity to christian action TECCA (Theological Education for Christian Commitment and Action) was conceived as a program in the year 1974. A complete course would consist of 10 sessions spread over 2 years. The professors of the concerned subject, some senior students along with the director would go and camp in the centers during weekends. The classes will be conducted with the cooperation of the local pastors. The courses are designed with some specific objectives. One of them is to facilitate the laity to involve in a meaningful way in the church and society with a thrust for a ministry of social justice. Another is to identify the issues in the life of the churches and respond to them effectively. TECCA students visit TTS once during their course and this facilitates interaction between the seminary community and them,
