About
Dr. J Christy Femila is a lecturer in the religion department of TTS. She has a Master of Theology in Islamic Theology from the Luther Seminary in Minnesota, USA., MA in Persian from the Barkathullah University, Bhopal and she did her doctoral studies in Persian language from the Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. Her interests are primarily in religious studies, interfaith dialogue, Islamic theology, Sufism, feminist theories, translation studies and Persian. She has recently published a translation of Pandita Ramabai’s book High Caste Hindu Woman from English to Tamil.
