Rev.Dr.H.Adlin Reginabai

Rev.Dr.H.Adlin Reginabai serves as an Assistant Professor in the department of Social Analysis. She belongs to Tamil Evangelical Lutheran Church(TELC.) She completed her Bachelor of Divinity (BD) from the Tamilnadu Theological Seminary, Madurai in the year 1995. Since then she served in the Department of Social Analysis as an Extension Worker, actively involved in taking of surveys, and helping to rehabilitate the street vendors and slum dwellers who faced complete evictions when the city of Madurai went through city beautification program. She did her Master of Theology (M.Th) in the same department and did her thesis on the topic “Organizational perspective on Land Alienation under new economic policy in Madurai city, with special reference to women slum dwellers and street venders.” She joined the teaching faculty and completed her Doctor of Theology (D.Th) in Social Analysis specially focusing her dissertation on “Son preference and the declining sex Ratio- patriarchal modernities under neo- liberal globalisation”. Along with her teaching she also involved actively in constructing unorganised sector women unions and worked for bringing comprehensive legislation for their rights. She also involved in organizing unions for the street vendors under National Association of Street Vendors in India ( NASVI). She has an International exposure meeting the street vendors in both South Korea and Taiwan
